Happy Thanksgiving!

We celebrated Thanksgiving this year with Nan and Ellen. As per usual, when family comes for a visit we always eat ALLOT but we eat well. Nan brought us an organic turkey and it was delicious!

It so happens that while Nan and Ellen were down for a visit, the 13th annual Pumpkin Races were going on in Windsor. This is an event whereby you actually use a pumpkin as a boat and race to the finish line.

Here are two Pumpkin boats ...gives you an idea how big the pumpkins really are. There is a motorized race and a paddle race.
Here is the motorized boat winner.

Here is Tessa sitting in one of the many pumpkins that made it to the finish line.

Ever since Tess had her first taste of Cotton Candy a little over a year ago, she can spot it anywhere and of course during this "festival" there was cotton candy everywhere! Here is Tess introducing her most favorite sweet indulgence with her friend, Remi. Great sharing Tess!

Fall is Here!

She may not be enjoying the pool at this time, yet she still asks if we can go swimming, she is enjoying our fall weather!

September in a Nutshell!

September was a very important month for us....we started School...preschool that is and the first day went great!!!! I stayed with her for about 40 min. and then told her that I forgot to feed Lou and I had to go home and I would pick her up a little later. She gave me a kiss and hug goodbye and that was it. I will be honest that my 5 min. ride home was the loneliest ride ever :(.....I missed her already. Once I got home I had no idea what to do with myself...I was alone and nothing to do!!!! I realized I will have to make a plan and maybe go to the gym in the mornings when Tess is at school....be productive!
Day two of school is a whole other story....in a nutshell...Tess had the "ugly cry" with snots and heaving for the next couple weeks. She had major separation anxiety...only kid out of 12 students...boy did I ever feel I did something wrong. But Tess has really always been a sensitive child and is a creature of habit. It took her a month to get adjusted and with the teachers cooperation Tess is now really enjoying school...best part is going to the park that is across the school with her friends once school is out!

My Little Prima ballerina. Tess also started ballet and tap in September and is doing great.

Tessa also has a new friend that she met through school, her name is Julia. Her mom, noticed that Tess was having a hard time adjusting at school so she thought that if we had play dates Tess would be more happy going to school since she had a friend there.....and it worked! Here is Tess at her first play date at Julia's house...the girls are holding real ball pythons! Julia's father is a reptile dealer.
Mom, can we take this one home????...I don't think so!!!!
