Lunenburg...our last trip with the Trejos.

It is with great sadness that we lost the Trejos to a move to the States. Because of them we did so many family outings together which we will cherish forever.

We all lost a friend ....for Tessa she lost her first friend that she made in NS.
We will miss you guys....but see you in Hawaii????

PEI with the family

What a wonderful time we had in PEI. Tessa had her Uncle Sid, Auntie Katka, cousin Marlon and Grandparents down for over a week visit. She loved having Marlon around...I swear the two of them look like siblings! She even acted like the older sister ...telling him what he could and could not do...and she would even spoon feed him...it was absolutely adorable to watch! I must say that I noticed she was not the biggest fan to share her grandparents though.

Soccer Star

Tessa started Parented Soccer this year which she did the majority of the time with dad but when he was out of town, I of course stepped in. She was one of three girls on a team with an additional 10 boys...not that it mattered to her...she was with dad and that's all that mattered to her.

She had a wonderful coach which taught her allot about team play and team spirit. Tessa struggled with the end of day "everyone takes a turn and scores a goal"...she has never liked being centre of attention which this task  encourages as when the child scores all parents and team mates cheer and clap....to Tess everyone may as well be booing, that is how terrified she was of doing this. But with dad holding her hand and much encouragement they would score together. By the end of season...Tess did it all by herself.
Yes, we are very proud parents!

My Little Flower Girl

And nobody thought I could do it...Ha, I showed them!!!!

And that is the truth, when Jen got engaged last year and told us that Tess had to be her flower girl of course we said yes, but you are talking about a shy kid, who let us not forget , in her first year of life no one other than immediate family could look at her without her crying!

We really did not think that with over 100 people at the wedding that Tess was going to walk down that aisle and do it like a professional....oh what a proud mommy moment that was.

Dance, dance, dance!

After a year of ballet/tap for Tess, she had to prepare for her big dance recital which was set for the weekend of Jenn's wedding so she did miss the actual recital but she still got on stage the week prior for the practice run. She did great ( third one in)...one must remember that this was a kid that would do nothing the first few classes...she definitely blossomed throughout this year.

Tess is the third one in from the left....what a cutie!

Happy Easter!

You know your child is excited about the Easter Bunny coming when your awaken at 5:30 am. It was pitch black outside and everything covered with a fresh white blanket of snow ...you would of thought it was Xmas and not Easter morning.

Tess had a wonderful time collecting all her chocolate eggs, stickers and even a toothbrush that the Easter Bunny left for her. She also made sure that the Easter Bunny ate the carrots and lettuce she left on a plate for him the night before.

Being such a well behaved kid she did ask if she could have some eggs for Breakfast before she actually placed them in her mouth...it is Easter so why not...Chocolate for Breakfast!!!!!

Later that morning we went to the Delta for Brunch with friends. Tess asked ,"Mom do you thing they will have eggs? Because I really love scrambled eggs!" And that she ate, along with lots of watermelon and Caesar salad...odd combination I know but it was a buffet.

Tess could not have been more excited when the Easter Bunny came in to say hello to the kids and gave everyone a chocolate egg. She later mentions to me, "Mom, I do not think that this is the real Easter Bunny because I saw a neck (human neck that is), I think it is just a costume"....well here we go, 3 and a half and bursting my kid's bubble. I quickly come back with, "Tess, remember that the Easter bunny has to be in so many places at once so sometimes he needs helpers and today this is one of his helpers."....it worked she is still a believer!!!!

Tess also enjoyed decorating cookies with her friends Remi and Sofia.
